C&F Celebrates Charlie Niemeyer’s 25th Anniversary
Charlie Niemeyer came to work as a shop helper 25 years ago. At the time, there were only a handful of employees at C&F. Steve Collier, partner, recalls that Charlie spent his first day moving parts from one side of the shop to the other. He quickly began running a machine and helping to organize the shop. Charlie has always taken great pride in his work, and he always had the cleanest area in shop!
Charlie has worn many hats at C&F. He has also been purchasing agent, sales representative, expediter, shop manager and quality manager. If Charlie doesn’t know how to do something, he will research it and figure it out.
Steve has said many times that if you want to get a project done, just ask Charlie to get involved. Whether it is organizing inventory, deburring parts, assembly, or finding things that are difficult to find, “Hurricane Charlie” will not let you down!
All this experience has paved the way for Charlie’s current position at C&F as Planner and IT Manager. Recently, during an expansion of office space, it was determined that Charlie should move his office of nearly 15 years from one building to the other to be closer to Steve to aid in quoting and researching jobs before we even get a P.O. This has already proven to be a win-win situation with Charlie being involved right from the beginning.
The Niemeyer family and Collier family have been close over these 25 years. Weddings, funerals, births. Doing life together. It is an honor to have Charlie as an integral part of the team.
To commemorate the occasion, C&F presented Charlie with a beautiful 25 year clock and tickets to George Strait’s final concert at the Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium.
