In Memory of Matt Lang

Matt Lang

C &F is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Matt Lang, our dear friend and Quality Assurance Manager.  Each of us not only grieves the passing of a tremendous individual, but also for the loss his family suffers.  We continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Matt was born in New Braunfels and lived most of his life in Harper, Texas.  He served and retired from the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves after 27 years of service, which took him through Korea, Desert Storm and Desert Shield. During his time in the Reserves, Matt worked at Precision Metalfab where he staunchly advocated employee rights.

Matt had been with C & F for just over 3 years.  He was known for his ability to remain calm and collected, even when the pressure was on.  His co-workers loved and respected him, and will always remember how he greeted them each and every morning with a handshake and pleasant “good morning”.  He had a special knack of making co-workers feel important and needed.  Matt’s had an overt concern for people, showing compassion even when mistakes were made.

Personally, Matt loved hunting, gardening, playing pool, dancing, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, which he generously shared with his co-workers.  He had a unique sense of humor, often playing practical jokes on friends and family.

Matt succumbed to cancer on Saturday, April 4.  He will certainly be missed.
